Much anticipated Dhobi Ghat released in this Friday. As excepted the movies opened to a occupancy level 50% in the weekend . The movie was collected around 9cr-10cr in its first weekends from 350 screen. It is certainly an impressive collection for Art genre movie. The collection were little bit hamper because of Karnataka bandh and cricket match on Friday & Sunday . But overall the collections were good. In Mumbai and Mysore circuit, the movie is doing very well but in small centers the movies collection were in down side. By judging the trend the movie will finish its first week around 15cr. The breakdowns, Friday: 3.00cr, Saturday: 3.50cr, Sunday: 3.15cr.
In overseas the movie fetched decent collection around $1mn(approx 4.5cr). UK - £118,571 (Rs 86 lacs), North America - $365,000(1.70cr), UAE - $265,000(1.21cr)Australia - $65,000(48lacks) & others $180,000(81 lacks).

YPD continuing its good performances in the Boxoffice.. The collection were around 9cr in its 2nd weekends. The movie collected around 44cr so far.
YPD collected around 35cr in its first week with a distributor share around 21 cr. The share is in the higher side because major collections were came from Single screen. Seem like all the distributor will earn some profit from this movie. The movie had also fetched healthy satellite price around 16cr. The territory breakdown were,
Mumbai:- 10cr from 460 theaters, Avg collections
Delhi/UP - 9.51 crore from 220 theaters, Very good collections
East Punjab - 5.62 crore from 96 theater, Excellent collections
Assam/West Bengal – 1.07cr from 130 theaters, Avg collections
Bihar - 93 lakhs, from 75 theaters, good collections
CP Berar - 1.82 crore from 120 theaters, good collections
CI - 1.53 crore from 55 theaters, very good collections
Rajasthan - 2.11 crore from 64 theaters, very good collections
Nizam – 92 lacks from 32 theaters, good collections
Mysore & Others – 1.4 cr from 90 theaters, Avg collections.
TOTAL - 34.86crore (1342 theaters, Verdict HIT)
In overseas YPD doing very well and the total collection were around $2.5(approx 11.25 cr). The collection Yamla Pagla Deewana' in second weekend 2nd weekend of as follows UK £ 99,136, total £ 409,735 [Rs 2.98 cr], USA $ 203,712, total $ 851,381 [Rs 3.87 cr].
No one killed Jessica had a very good 2nd week. The movie collected around 6.30cr from 456 theaters. The detail collection of NOKJ were, Mumbai circuit were around 2.74cr from 201 theaters , Delhi collected around 1.55cr from 79screen, Punjab collected around 68lacks from 42screen, CP/CI collected around 39lacks from 44 theaters, Rajasthan collected around 22 lack from 26theaters, Assam/West Bengal collected around 38lacks from 40 screen. Mysore and others collection were 40lacks. Overseas collection this weekends as follows UK £ 7,163, total £ 176,808 [Rs 1.29 cr], USA $ 28,667, total $ 428,691 [Rs 1.95 cr].

Band Baaja Baaraat is proving one horse race in the boxoffice. Despite stiff competition from new releases, Yash Raj's Band Baaja Baaraat continues to do well Adding another 34lacks from 111thearters (approx) in its 5th week. Band Baaja Baaraat has netted nearly 22.5cr in five weeks from India. But it was unfortunately a washout in the Overseas. Semi Hit
Prediction For New Releases:
This week Mdhur Bhandarkar is coming with his comedy flick ‘Dil Tho Baccha Hai JI’. Starting Ajay Devgan, Emraan, Omi Vaidya, DTBHJ is the slice of life movie that talks about three man and their encounters with love, Shazahn Padmasee, Srutu haasan and debutant Shraddha Das will play their love interest respectively.
The buzz around the movie is not huge but it is creating some buzz due to the music & good Dialog promos. This movie is not expected to open huge. Looking at the buzz the movie should collect around 13-14cr in its 1st weekend taking 850 screen space.
