This week Report’s :

Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji released last Friday. It was below the mark on its first day at around 3.75 crore nett.. The film improved slightly over the weekend raking in over Rs 14.75crore at the Domestic box office. Monday saw the collections dropping. Though the film is reaping the benefit of a solo big release, it does not have the potential to maintain a steady momentum. Breakdown Fri Rs 3.75cr, Sat Rs 4.85cr, Sun Rs 6.00cr, Mon Rs 2.0cr, Tus Rs 1.85cr

In overseas the movie failed to impress and collected around $250,000(approx 1.13cr) over its first weekend form 106 screen. UK was very bad with £19,000 while North America and UAE fared better with $93,000 and $75,000 respectively.

Dhobi Ghat with sterling performances from its cast and touching story-line is made at the cost of mere Rs 10crore, but its weekend breakdown tells a winning story. The weekend collections are approximately 9.3cr and add another 4.5cr in the week days. Though the movie has crashed in the 2nd weekend but the movie is in the profitable zone because of its low cost. This will be qualified as another successes for Aamir khan production house.

In Overseas Dhobi Ghat dipped in its second weekend around 70% but will manage add decent business at overseas with around $1.6 million ( 7.2cr). The collection from major market till date were U.K :- £ 1,97,397 [approx. Rs. 1.45 crores], USA:- $ 5,21,582 [approx. Rs. 2.39 crores] , FIJI : 16,400 [approx. Rs. 4.06 lacs].

Coming to Yamla Pagla Deewana, the movie is going great guns in the northern zone. As per reports, it had a great second week with business of around Rs 14,57crore approx. This takes the film’s collection to Rs 50crore In 2 weeks. It is now declared as Hit

In overseas Yamla Pagla Deewana has scored well in all markets. The film will gross around  $2.9 million(approx 13cr) across all overseas markets. Some of the major market the collection were U.K : : £ 4,86,372 [approx. Rs. 3.57 crores] , USA : $ 9,61,257 [approx. Rs. 4.41 crores].

Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan continue to woo the audience with their No One Killed Jessica. The movie is running in its third week  and fetched around 2.47cr approx which takes its Three week business to Rs 28.56crore. It is now declared a semi hit theatrically and Hit ROI wise.

 Prediction For New Releases:

This week Yeh Saali Zindagi and Utt Pataang is releasing but both the movie carries a low buzz.

Yeh Saali Zindagi will not take a good opening at the box-office as the film has no saleable stars except Irfan Khan and  has been promoted poorly. Collections might pick up by word of mouth. And Utt Pataang has title value of Vinay Pathak and Saurabh Shukla as they are known faces. The rest will all depend on the word of mouth.
