Films sans big stars rarely enjoy good publicity. Pyaar Ka Punchnama has no big stars, and so no publicity. But debutante director Luv Ranjan has managed to impress the film critics with his unique way of exposing the laughter veins of the youth. He has pumped in lots of wacky moments to this youth-centric romantic comedy.
The film is about three youngsters and the relationships they share with the women in their lives. The youngsters try to spice up their boring lives by falling in love but they end up falling victims to the whims of their lovers. One girl turns out to be possessive, the other one materialistic and the third one flirty and seductive.
Pyaar Ka Punchnama is full of newcomers, but they all have done their parts exceptionally well. Monologue by Rajat is wonderful and actors Tiwari, Bhakhirta, and Divyendu are a delight to watch. Divyendu is the pick of the lot though. Lead female actors too have done justice to their roles.
Pyaar Ka Punchnama can be best described as a sex comedy; a satire of love and relationships. It would have turned a complete entertainer if not for the dragging second half. But on the whole, it is a good film. Go for it guys!
