Box Office Report 24 may 2011: New Releases Bomb At The Box Office


Two new films of this week, Pyaar Ka Punchnama and 404, are very poor with no figures worth the name to mention. The openings are around 10-15% occupancy level in the 1st weekend. Pyaar Ka Punchnama is below the mark collecting 3.5cr in its 1st weekends. In spite of  good WOM & radiant reviews, hasn't fetched the expected numbers.

In the oter hand “Pirates Of The Caribbean did very good business 10 crore nett over its first weekend. The film looks set to do very good business all over India over next two weeks.

Ragini MMS has closed the week with Rs 7 cr nett, which is consider to be good collection looking at the budget. The 2nd week will be important for the film. In the mean time the movie adds another 1.5cr in its 2nd weekends.

Stanley Ka Dabba collections have been on the lower side, having collected Rs 2 cr nett  in its first week.

Shagird has not been able to draw the audience, collecting a mere Rs 1.9 cr nett in its first week. Though the movie got a very good reviews but unable to transform it a  good BO collection.
Love U…Mr Kalkaar does poor, collecting Rs 1.6 nett in the first week. It’s a disappointing numbers for the distributors.

Haunted 3-D maintains well to collect Rs 6.9cr nett in its second week, taking its two week total to Rs 2.16 cr nett. It is emerged as the heights earned Horror movie in the Bollywood. The movie is looking to end its run at  25cr lifetime with a distributor share around 13 cr.

Luv Ka The End continues to be below par, adding Rs 1.5 cr nett in its second week to take its total to Rs 6.4cr nett.
