Bodyguard has opened to a historic response at multiplexes all over the country. From North to West to East to South the response is the same all over. With multiplexes smashing all opening records it is a certainty that single screens will follow when they get going from noon onwards smashing all records in terms of collections.
The opening of Bodyguard is the biggest ever in the multiplex era beating likes of Dhoom 2, Ghajini, Three Idiots and Dabangg.
A city like Mumbai which is over saturated with multiplexes saw full houses in the morning and this is a rarity especially as releases keep getting bigger and bigger.
The first day is heading towards being the biggest ever although there is a major cricket match featuring India tonight so collections of the last few shows may be affected a little bit but even here looking at the momentum the film has at the box office, the affect may be minimal.
