I know the numbers on the left might be looking like pumping and jacking up by Media, of-course they have to be taken with pinch of Salt. But lets analyze.
Satellite : The Satellite number is possible as Ra.One got 35 cr and this is the next big Superhero movie after it.
Overseas : Hrithik has good following overseas, with Movies like Dhoom 2,Jodha Akbar and now ZNMD crossing 30+ cr Gross mark there. Now to recover 20 cr overseas Krrish 3 needs to do around 44-45 cr Gross overseas. The performance of Krrish part 1 overseas was decent with 20+ cr Gross. Yes, this one looks like stretching a bit, probably they should have pegged 15 cr Overseas but Ra.One with a similar genre will show us the real market value of the Superhero Genre from India overseas.
All Other Territories : Actually if we look at Mumbai(25 cr) , Delhi (15 cr) and other territorial numbers, they are similar to recent Big Hit Ready Numbers which did All India Distributor Share of 64.5 cr.
So, if Krrish does around 135 cr Nett India it will notch up a distributor share of more than 70+ cr, which will more than recover all the above territories.
135 cr is a fair expectation given nowadays big marquee movies do 140(Dabangg), 121.5(Ready) and similar expectations from Ra.One,Bodyguard and Don 2.
Rest Music rights have been sold for unprecedented 6 cr, the biggest number since Ghajini as Music sales had dwindled down dramatically last few years.
Cost : The Investment of Krrish 3 might be around 100 cr, as it will be coming after Ra.One the VFX and Action needs to be top notch.
Given the movie does as expected, 135+ cr India and 40+ cr Overseas, everyone associated with the movie will stand chance to make good profits.
Even if some of the above come out with little variance, still this gives us a good idea.
In the end, its not actually a bad deal.
