Aarakshan had a big fall in collections on Tuesday as it collected around 2.25-2.50 crore nett. The collections normally fall after a big holiday but the collections of Aarakshan fell much more than normal. The fall was across the board even in places like Punjab and Nizam which had a late release.
The film is now heading for a 31 crore nett week and is unlikely to do much thereafter. Aarakshan managed to stay afloat for the extended weekend due to holidays but the initial reports which were not good came into play as the holiday period ended and the collections came down badly.
The film does not have competition in the form of a major releases this week but as appreciation is not there for Aarakshan it is unlikely to benefit.
