Golmaal 3 Movie Review By DK

Another Dewali  Dhamaka Is golmal 3. Rohit Shetty’s has a style of his own ,brings forth multiple characters, crazy confusion, parallel tracks, unbelievable characters, and jaw-dropping action.  Ajay Devgan once again teams up with Rohit Shetty after “Golmaal”, “Golmaal Returns” and “All The Best”. I went with  a lot of expectations and hoping for get better and bigger. But again I little bit disappointed, though enjoyed with lesser smile.

It's said that G-3 is inspired by Basu Chatterjee's Khatta Meetha [1978; starring Ashok Kumar and Pearl Padamsee], Umesh Mehra's Hamare Tumhare [1979; starring Sanjeev Kumar and Raakhee] and it prove to be correct. Some of the scene are inspired from that movies.

I loved some of the hilarious secne like Johnny's sequence on the water scooter, to cite an instance, is sure to bring the house down. it's a sequence without words but a super background score, with the siblings trying to threaten one another with every possible thing in the house - be it a cactus plant or a rose, be it a tomato or a pumpkin, while their parents watch Hum Saath Saath Hain on TV. Also, Kareena's pet dog called Facebook.  Ok From Facebook another scene I remembered where, he trying to get the bone out of Mithun's pocket is bizarre, but will be loved by the hoi polloi. Prepare to laugh your guts out in the above-mentioned scenes there. Jokes on fellow actors find place too, predictably Emran Hashmi features. Shahid is called Kameena (y), which could be interpreted in more than one ways, and then there is a dig even at Kareena’s ‘zero figure’.  It keeps you hooked at your seat, the emotional scenes where Tushar express his word with emotion others, truly wonderful Acting wise.
Movie is also replete with characteristic Rohit Shetty-esque quirks – action scenes with cars being smashed, the chase, the Golmaal vehicle - a 5-seater motorbike this time, and elaborate opening sequences. Where I feel it is a risky stunts and fabulously directed but it is not Shoot to the mood of the movie.

Mithunda is excellent. He willingly spoofs himself from his superstar days, and gets each movement right, melodrama of 70s story playing out between Mithun and Ratna outside the church was another sequence that felt bit stretched,  Ajay does very well as the hot-headed hero but some place try to give catchy performances which is not required for the movie and loved the Gajiny looks and grungy makeover with short Hair. Kareena plays the tomboy with ease. Tusshar repeats his act nicely(Jara Nachake Dikha). Kunal Khemu is good(with leser space), while Arshad Warsi appears over-weight, but fun. Ratna Pathak Shah is lovable. Prem Chopra's cameo is a hilarious! Johny Lever as a forgetting don, is flawless and delivers the highest laughs. Sajay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari shine in their roles. Ashwini is decent, while Murli Sharma is in top form

The tracks are score little less then the previous ones but some tracks will definitely appeal  college going crowd, especially the ‘Ale Ale’ and ‘Golmaal is back Again!’ .

After all this positive point there are also lots of lacking pits  .Unlike the previous two films in the series, this one has very little to laugh at. Actors like Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari and Sanjay Mishra, who are Shetty regulars and actors who have created a lot of laughs in previous movies, hardly have anything worthwhile to do in this movie. In fact, neither do Khemu, Talpade or Hirjee have much opportunity to show their talent. climax could have been a little more imaginative, the end doesn’t come with a big bang. Instead, the climax takes its droll course in a maddening chaos with all the characters present on screen, It follows the trademark Priyadarshan style of getting together the entire cast, including supporting actors to villain sidekicks, for the finale. Also, movie could have done with some editing scissors to blot out few repetitions.
Overall it is enjoyable, it will not comparable to Golmaal and ATB as I find these two are more far ahead then this flick but surely it is better then Golmaal Return.
Verdict:- With fabulous opening it heading to words hit status. Remain to be seen that what more it can achieve. It is obvious that it appealing more to masses and collage going students. So I hope for good weekday’s collection also.

  1. "EXHAUSTED" THATS THE WORD THAT CAME TO MY MIND
WHEN I LEFT THE THEATRE AFTER WATCHING THIS MINDLESS, STORYLESS, SCRIPTLESS, SCREENPLAYLESS,
    FILM
ITS NOTHING MORE THAN A SERIES OF STRETCHED JOKES, AND TACKY GAGS..
    BADLY EDITED, LOUD BACKGROUND SCORE,
REPEATATIVE SCENES, OVER THE TOP SCENES,
THE EMOTIONAL SCENE WHERE TUSHAR SPILLS THE BEANS TO THE ENTIRE GANG WAS MEANT TO BE EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL BUT TURNED OUT TO BE FUNNY,
AND THAT GOES TO SHOW HOW FOOLISHLY AND IMMATURISHLY ROHIT SHETTY HANDLES THE EMOTIONAL SCENES,
THE FILM WAS NOT MADE, IT WAS DESIGNED,
    FORCED JOKES, FORCED LAUGHS,
SCENES, DIALOGUE LIFTED FROM HERE AND THERE, NOTHING NEW TO OFFER,
THING OF THE PAST, THE SUPER SLOW MOTION ACTION SEQUENCES,
CARS FLYING AGAIN(ACTUALLY CARS FLIES IN ALL ROHIT SHETTY FILMS)
SAVING GRACE- THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE VETERANS MITHUN SIR AND PREM CHOPRA SIR,
KUNAL KHEMU GOT THE BEST LINES, ARSHAD'S REPEATING HIMSELF, SHREYAS IS WASTED, TUSHAR IS IRRITATING AND REPEATATIVE, KAREENA SLEEP WALKS HER ROLE, AJAY THE SORE THUMB,
MUSIC- EXCEPT GOLMAAL 1, NONE OF ROHIT SHETTY'S FILM HAD GOOD MUSIC,
EXAMPLE GOLMAAL 2, SUNDAY, ALL THE BEST AND GOLMAAL 3,
IN THIS AGE OF INTERESTING STORY LINES AND WHERE OUR STORY BOARDS ARE MOVING INTO NEW DIRECTION
THIS KIND OF FILMS ARE A LET DOWN AND DRAGGING US BACKWARDS,
NO DOUBT IT WILL BE A SUCCESS BUT AT THE COST OF CINEMA,
BRING ON SOME "KHOSLA KA GHOSLA", "DO DOONI CHAAR", OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE", "LSD", "99"
    "HERA PHERI", "QUICK GUN MURUGAN"...
    THESE WERE COMEDIES WITH STORIES,
AFTER ALL WHY ON EARTH SHOULD I LEAVE MY MIND AT HOME ALL THE TIME..
